The Path Ahead

It is easy to see how physically fit someone is just by looking at them but it is difficult to know how mentally fit a person is until they are placed in a situation that demands it. The physical challenges of a survival situation may be the easiest obstacles you have to overcome compared to the mental demands. You need to have a strong will to survive and keep your eyes on the path that lies ahead. Focusing on family and friends is a great way to keep that willing spirit alive. The same thing goes for the Christian walk. Everyday Satan bombards us with mental challenges to the point that we just want to lay down, but we need to keep our eyes on the Father and stay strong in Christ Jesus. Focus on the path that God has laid out for you. "Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 3: 13-14)
